1995
Pianist Nikita Galaktionov was born August 25, 1995 in Moscow. His mother – Tatiana Sukhacheva – physicist-theorist by education and producer by nature. She created The Russian National Orchestra together with the famous pianist and conductor Michail Pletnev and Roman Viktyuk`s theatre together with the outstanding theatre producer – Roman Viktyuk. His father – Goerge Galaktionov, graduate of Gnesins College, professional bassist and successful businessman today. Nikita’s art biography is exclusive. With perfect pitch and phenomenal musical memory, in 2001 he easily entered the class of Anatoly Ryabov in Central Music School at the P.I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory. At age of 8, Nikita had his debut on stage of Moscow International House of Music, performing 8 th concert of Mozart together with National Philharmonic Orchestra (art-director – Vladimir Spivakov). At his 13, he got first place on competition EUTERPE in Corato, Italy leaving his 18-years-old competitors behind. Since then, he doesn`t take part in any competitions, preferring to amuse public not by gold feathering of his laureate titles, but with his talent. For last two years, of Nikita`s education in CMS his teacher was professor of Moscow State Conservatory, 4th Tchaikovsky`s International Competition laureate – Arkady Sevidov, who played the main role in the destiny of aspiring pianist. After unexpectedly getting low mark during final exams (chairman of the Commission categorically rejected Nikita`s interpretation of Rachmaninov`s 2th concerto), he attempted to enter Moscow Conservatory twice – both times unsuccessfully. As a result, Nikita got high (advanced degree) education diploma of specialist in Maimonides Jewish Academy, at the same time continuing improving his professional mastery by private lessons with Arkady Sevidov. Professor didn`t lose his faith in Nikita, and even more – considered as possible to play joint program
